Town and Gown Committee

Purpose:

The purpose of this committee is to lead efforts with our students helping them understand, have personal responsibility and accountability when living-off campus. This committee will also establish relationships with nearby neighborhood associations and area landlords seeking to understand the impacts of Creighton students living in these neighborhoods, promoting communication and developing programming that will better prepare students to be responsible neighbors. The Town and Gown Committee will:

Develop a Town & Gown Relationship Statement
Create a website with resources hosted by the Division of Student Life
Prepare an Open Letter to students living off-campus articulating Creighton’s expectations of them, including information on how to be a good neighbor
Renew and review the guide for off-campus living
Host Quarterly landlords & University meeting to share information and promote student renter responsibility
