The Knowing Our Students Committee is responsible for understanding our students. It is first by knowing our students that the division can achieve our goal of engaging all students. This committee will provide oversight and leadership in better understanding our students and their needs. The Knowing Our Students Committee will:
- Work with the Teaching and Learning Center and other campus partners to review collected student survey, data and information
- Seek out best practices and educate the division on CAS Standards
- Identify student needs and preferences, as well as potential programmatic and services gaps
- Provide regular divisional updates through the DSL Newsletter, Staff Development Seminars and presentations
- Schedule annual surveys for the departments within the division
- Creating a centralized repository for Student Life surveys and assessments
- Support the Task Stream Work Group"
