GO! Program

GO! - Get Out of your Office; Get Out of your comfort zone; Go Out to the margins.

In the Spring of 2015, the For and With Others Committee (FWOC) met to discuss the Diversity Action Team's (DAT) continuing education program for the Division of Student Life employees.  FWOC reviewed the Initiatives for Diversity Education and Action (IDEA) and proposed updates to the program to Dr. Tanya Winegard, Vice Provost for Student Life.  FWOC proposed the GO! Program to meet the needs of the divisional staff who were calling for more flexibility in the program.  In the spirit of seeking MAGIS (or "more") from ourselves and others, the Division calls its members to promote self-awareness and cultural competency.  In doing so, we are empowered to promote a climate of acceptance and respect, recognizing the dignity of all persons in the University Community, and those served by the University Community.
