Cornerstone Committee

Purpose:

The purpose of this committee is to actively support the work of the Housing and Auxiliary Services functional area to create and sustain environments and facilities that enhance the students’ campus experience. It is the responsibility of this committee to engage students to identify opportunities to enhance existing Student Life spaces in order to support student learning and create environments that are welcoming to all individuals. The Cornerstone Committee will:

  • Look for opportunities to maximize the utilization of the spaces entrusted to the division being mindful of the desire to promote collaboration across the division and with key campus partners
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing spaces to promote inclusion and wellbeing, as well as accessibility and sustainability
  • Seek student input to assist in prioritizing housing, recreational, outdoor, meeting, and dining space needs
  • Serve as the hub of staff, faculty and student voice as it pertains to spaces and environments in the division
