FALL 2021 DEGREE CONFERRAL/DIPLOMAS
- Students verified to graduate in December 2021 will have a degree conferral date of December 11, 2021, regardless of the end date of their Fall courses.
- Diplomas for students graduating in December will be mailed the week of January 17, 2022, and should be received by the student during the week of January 24.
- Diplomas will be mailed to the address listed on your degree application, unless you indicate otherwise.
- Check your Graduation Diploma Address on NEST under Personal Information>Addresses and Phone Numbers.
- If you are expecting your diploma but have not received it by January 28, please contact us at registrar@creighton.edu.
- For undergraduate and graduate students, e-diplomas will be emailed to the student's Creighton email address approximately December 20, 2021.
SPRING 2022 DEGREE CONFERRAL/DIPLOMAS
- All students verified to graduate in May 2022 will have a degree conferral date of May 14, 2022.
- Diplomas for students graduating in May will be mailed in early June.
- If you are expecting your diploma but have not received it by June 20, please contact us at registrar@creighton.edu.
- For undergraduate and graduate students, e-diplomas will be emailed to the student's Creighton email address approximately May 20, 2022.
HOW TO APPLY FOR YOUR DEGREE
- For your degree to be conferred you MUST submit a "Degree Application and Graduation Participation" by the deadline.
- Degree Applications are required for all graduates, regardless of whether or not you plan to participate in a ceremony.
- To apply, Log in to the NEST > Student Services > Student Records > Degree Application and Graduation Participation.
- Deans of the respective Creighton University Schools and Colleges are responsible for approving their candidates for graduation.
DEGREE APPLICATION DEADLINES
- May degree candidates - Due February 15 regardless of ceremony participation
- August candidates - March 15 if participating in commencement or June 15 if not participating in commencement.
- December candidates - March 15 if participating in commencement prior to completion or October 15 if participating in commencement following completion or not participating

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
- Commencement is held annually in May.
- Students who complete their degrees in the Spring Semester are expected to be present at Commencement to receive their degrees.
- Students who complete their degree programs in the Fall Semester may attend Commencement in May following completion or in the preceding May if approved by their Dean.
- Students who complete their degree requirements during the Summer are encouraged to attend Commencement the preceding May (if approved by their Dean) or may attend the May Commencement following completion.
- Diplomas of August and December graduates will be mailed upon confirmation by the respective Dean that the student has completed all degree requirements.
