Department of Psychological Science

Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Psychological Science. Our twelve-faculty come with diverse research backgrounds, but we all share in our mission, to provide a strong classroom curriculum which fosters the development of critical thinking, oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to conduct psychological research and statistical analyses.

The psychological science major provides an excellent foundation for further educational and career endeavors. Majors in Psychological Science routinely pursue masters or doctoral degrees in various areas of psychology. Many of our majors pursue professional training in the health professions, law, or business.

Besides our major curriculum which offers over 40 different courses we also offer a minor in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. The minor provides an integrated view of what we know about the brain and its relation to cognition and behavior.
