Adam Sundberg works at the intersection of cultural, environmental and digital history. A specialist in the early modern Netherlands, his research focuses on the cultural, technological, and social responses to nature-induced disasters at the closing of the Dutch Golden Age. He employs a wide variety of sources in his research including documentary sources, material culture, and historical geographic information systems. He has also worked on numerous collaborative projects including an ongoing geo-historical examination of women’s’ landholdings in southern Louisiana.
